One summer day in 1965 a couple of dads on Bainbridge Island, WA heard their kids complaining that they were bored with nothing to do. The men (Congressman Joel Pritchard & Gov. Dan Evans) decided to take things into their own hands and invented a new game. Little did they know the backyard game would develop into the popular sport of pickleball that is now played by 35 million people.
